It's probably best to visit a local furniture store in-person to pick out a rug. They'll have them hanging so that you can flip through their full inventory of different designs and pick one out. Rugs come in standard sizes, so you'll want to measure in advance and see what makes sense for you.

The local furniture stores can be more expensive than looking online, but you'll benefit from seeing them in person.
