Carpet for my living room

It's undeniable carpets play a significant role in making a house/room complete. I have to realize most of them look very good initially, but after some time, they start to show signs of wear. What's the average lifespan of a right carpet on a regular daily use? When shopping for a carpet, what features should I look for, and what red flags should I be aware of? To cut a long story short, how do I select a carpet for my living room?

Hey! The average lifespan of a carpet is around 3-5 years depending upon the carpet however with extra care, you can add some more years. While shopping for one, check it's durability by pressing your thumb softly into the carpet, the faster it takes to recover; the more durable it is. Don't buy if it takes eternity to do so.
