Is it economical to use solar energy?

Everybody is aware of the talk about solar energy. It's called clean and green power. I'm wondering, why is it not so commonly found? Why is it all houses are not equipped with solar panels on their roofs. My concern isn't leaning towards environmental factors but economical.

Is it worth to completely switch to solar energy? There are a lot of cool things you can do with that power at your home. Why is it that majority of people are not using it?

Re: Is it economical to use solar energy?

Solar Panels are economical but in a lot of places, there cost is too high. They also need direct sunlight which isn't available in lot of places. However, more and more people are getting into green energy; in this decade alone, the world has made significant progress in adapting solar panels. The number of solar panels installed in the US went from 50,000 in 2017 to 75,000 in 2019 and these numbers are just gonna increase greatly every year.
